The Power of EMDR Online Healing

Years of providing trauma therapy support for victims of severe trauma has helped me to develop an online adaptation of EMDR Therapy – a groundbreaking approach that can help you break free from the lingering effects of trauma.

EMDR is based on the belief that traumatic events can get stuck in the brain, causing ongoing distressing symptoms like nightmares and flashbacks. But with EMDR, you can reframe and reprocess these memories, freeing yourself from their grip.

With the guidance of a skilled therapist, the therapy takes you through a structured eight-phase approach. Through a technique called bilateral stimulation, often using side-to-side eye movements, your brain’s natural processing abilities are activated. This helps unlock and integrate the stored memories, easing their emotional impact.

As you progress through EMDR therapy, you’ll start to feel a reduction in the intense emotions tied to these traumatic memories. It’s like rewriting your script, giving you the power to approach life with resilience and control.

Remember, EMDR is more than just symptom management. It’s about transforming your relationship with your past and reclaiming your mental well-being. If you or someone you know is struggling with the effects of trauma, EMDR can be your beacon of hope, guiding you toward a brighter, more liberated future.

A Passion for Helping Others

Hi, I'm Keely

I’m not your typical cardigan-wearing counselor; I’m more of a bifocal and bluejeans kind of therapist. I don’t just nod and smile.

As a seasoned therapist who’s seen and experienced a lot, I bring a down-to-earth, non-judgmental, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy.

I’m ready to roll up my sleeves, grab a cup of coffee, and meet you where you’re at in order to address your therapy goals.

So, why am I doing this?

I’m a straight shooter, both professionally and personally. In my own life, I’ve spent considerable time on a therapist’s couch, working through my own traumas.
I firmly believe that together, we can tackle the tough stuff in your life. I’m not afraid to wade into the deep end of the pool with you, exploring past experiences that might be weighing you down. My passion lies in helping clients challenge the negative narratives that play on a loop in their minds, addressing the uncomfortable thoughts and feelings hindering them from living their best lives.

As a seasoned therapist who’s seen and experienced a lot, I bring a down-to-earth, non-judgmental, compassionate, and collaborative approach to therapy. I’m willing to gently challenge my clients as we navigate through their issues. It’s okay not to be okay, but the goal is not to stay there.

Therapy with me isn’t just about sitting and talking. We’ll develop practical skills for your day-to-day life, calming both your body and mind. Together, we’ll address past experiences impacting your present relationships.

I’m ready to roll up my sleeves, grab a cup of coffee, and meet you where you’re at in order to address your therapy goals. Like the GPS on your phone, I’m here to help you navigate your healing journey with ease and efficiency.

So, why am I doing this? I kept a promise to my 16-year-old self. After a 15-year sales career with a Fortune 500 company, I returned to graduate school at 40 to earn a Masters of Education in Counseling, becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). At 16, I battled severe depression and anxiety, contemplating ending my own life. With the support of my family and an incredible therapist, I began my healing journey, and she inspired me to consider helping others.

I made a promise to myself then that I would one day help someone else in a similar situation. Despite a successful career, marriage, and motherhood, I kept that promise in the back of my mind. At 40, I resigned from my sales career, despite my manager’s disbelief and skepticism about the financial prospects of therapy. I didn’t care; I wanted to pursue my passion and honor the promise I made decades ago. Today, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of people over many years, guiding them on their paths to healing from trauma.
